Robert J. Sawyer is a bestselling Hugo and Nebula Award-winning science-fiction writer. A consultant to NASA, a multiple TEDx speaker, and a member of the Order of Canada, he has given over 100 futurism keynote addresses worldwide. The ABC TV series FlashForward was based on his novel of the same name.

Robert J. Sawyer’s specialty is extrapolating today’s scientific, medical, and ethical concerns into the near future, making the radical changes that are forthcoming understandable to any audience. He has made over 800 radio and TV appearances, including CBC’s Quirks & Quarks and NPR’s Science Friday, and he’s given over a hundred keynote addresses at venues all over the world, including the Library of Congress, Cambridge University, and the China Science and Technology Museum.
