For new annual subscriptions of the Business or Enterprise plans (view options here), Quantumrun Foresight can import your team’s existing internal trend research into the Quantumrun Foresight Platform.
Importing existing internal trend research
Every company and department defines trend research differently and processes that research in a variety of formats. The following will describe the type of trend research the platform can support.
Website page URLs
If your team collects or bookmarks large collections of reference URLs to public articles, reports, videos, etc., then the Quantumrun team can import that research through an importing procedure.
In collaboration with your team, Quantumrun’s data entry professionals will collect your team’s individual collections of link research; for example, some team members may save their links inside MS Word files, spreadsheets, email newsletters, bookmarks on other platforms/apps, etc.
Quantumrun will then format your research into an MS Excel spreadsheet that contains the following data columns:
- Reference URL
- Article title
- Public or private
- Short title (optional)
- Publisher name (optional)
- Description or internal note text (optional)
- Tags (optional)
All this data will then be uploaded into the platform.
These URLs will appear as Signal posts on the platform. These signal posts will be tagged to your organization. The links assigned as ‘private’ will be set to private and only visible to account users associated with your company.
Internal sensitive files and large files
If your team is also interested in interacting with files inside the platform—e.g., Word docs, PDFs, slide decks, large graphics—this can be facilitated using the following options:
Option A: We simply import URL links or download links to files stored on your company’s database. This way, the files are safely protected inside your organization’s servers. The import will generate signal posts that will link out to the files in your organization’s password-protected servers. This approach is recommended and is most likely to be approved by your organization’s cyber safety policies.
Option B: Quantumrun will set up a standalone file storage server using Google’s enterprise services. This server will be specific only to your organization (i.e., not shared). Quantumrun’s data entry team will then generate a list of URLs from these individual files and import these URLs into the platform as signal posts. These signal posts will then link to the files in your organization’s Quantumrun-administrated server. If this approach is selected, then a separate data liability contract will need to be signed with your organization.
In either option, this content will appear on the platform as signal posts that will be tagged to your organization. These posts will be set to private and only visible to account users associated with your company.
Basic text files
If your team is interested in interacting with non-sensitive, internal text files as normal “Insight/Trend” posts on the platform (instead of Signal posts), then Quantumrun’s data entry team can manually republish up to 100 such files in this format.
Importing raw data
As of January 2024, the Quantumrun Foresight Platform does not yet have the capability to import raw research data sets.
Importing process length
Depending on the size of your team’s data collection, as well as the speed your team can collect and share your trend research with Quantumrun’s data entry team, the importing process can take between one to three months.
Importing future internal trend research
For annual Enterprise subscriptions, Quantumrun Foresight will bonus this data import offering to help your team build one interactive reference resource for all your trend research needs (based on the importing details noted above).
After this initial, complementary onboarding data import, additional data can be later imported into the platform for a monthly fee or on an as-needed basis. Annual Business subscription users will follow the same fee rates.
- Quantumrun’s rate for data entry professionals (Jan 2024) is $30/h USD.

Applying scoring metadata to client research
