User types and privileges

The Quantumrun Foresight Platform features a variety of registered user types, each with their own privileges, features, and platform access. Each of these user types is detailed below:

General website visitor

A general website visitor can view all publicly accessible forms of content published on Quantumrun.com.

However, a paywall will limit their ability to read insight posts and to leave comments on content they find interesting.

Registered user

A registered user can view all publicly accessible forms of content published on Quantumrun.com. However, they can also:

  • Curate trend articles into public or private lists that they can customize and share across the platform and beyond.
  • Create and publish trend articles on the platform.
  • Share external links to trend articles on the platform.
  • Comment on articles.
  • Participate across the site in ways that generate points that accumulate into scores on the general website user leaderboard.

Foresight / Futurist user

A foresight / futurist user enjoys all the same access as registered users, but they also have the ability to publish longer-form trend articles and reports that promote their personal or company brands.

Foresight users can also create a limited number of project pages for personal research use. Based on their profiles, select foresight users may be invited to participate in paid surveys or foresight consulting projects conducted by Quantumrun Foresight consultants.

Company admin user

The company admin user is the primary user type created by organizations when they first register for a paid subscription and account on the Quantumrun Foresight Platform.

Besides the Quantumrun Foresight Platform’s administrators, the company admin user can access the widest breadth of features on the platform on behalf of their organization. The company admin user account doubles as the organization account.

This user type has all the same access as the previous user types described, but they can also do the following:

  • Manage the organization’s billing and subscription level on the platform.
  • Manage the organization’s communications with the platform’s consultant and support representatives.
  • Manage the organization’s public and private data and the content created in or shared with the platform.
  • Create ‘company user’ accounts (described below) and manage their access to the platform and the organization’s platform content.
  • Administrator access to all projects and lists created by the organization and the company users associated with it.

Company user

As noted above, company user accounts are a sub-account type created by and operated under a company admin user account that itself is created by an organization that purchased a subscription to the Quantumrun Foresight Platform.

Company users have no access to their organization’s billing, data management, and subscription administration settings and they cannot create or manage other company user accounts.

However, company users can create projects and lists that are visible to other company users operating under the same organization account. Company users can also participate in projects created by other company users under the same organization account.
