KDDI, KDDI Research, KDDI Smart Drone, and Shimizu announced the successful demonstration of real-time transmission of 3D point cloud data from the Hokkaido Shinkansen Oshima Tunnel Kamifutamata Work Section (Oshima Tunnel), currently under construction by Shimizu Corporation. This achievement was made possible using Starlink's au communication area construction solution, "Satellite Mobile Link." Utilizing the technology demonstrated, construction progress and abnormalities such as wall misalignment and cracks can be monitored remotely in real time.
